of upright rectangular form with rounded sides, the dark agate front and reverse carved with a rose trelliswork, the front further applied with chased roses and a gold rose clasp, the jade lid and base panel mounted in reeded gold, maker's mark, further signed: Janesich, French eagle's head standard mark for 18ct gold, Janesich serial no 11580 engraved on the hinge (and repeated on the red presentation case), SAM serial no 17193 on the reverse of the clasp,
