NIKE, NIKE MESH JERSEY, SIZE 48 (+4 LENGTH)
This home ‘Statement Edition’ jersey was worn by Russell Westbrook on April 23, 2024, during Game 2 of the First Round of the NBA Playoffs, when the Los Angeles Clippers played the Dallas Mavericks.
Westbrook finished with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. The Clippers lost to the Mavericks, 96-93.
In the 2016-17 NBA season, after averaging 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game, Russell Westbrook became the first player since Oscar Robertson in 1962 to average a triple-double. The remarkable accomplishment helped the fiery point guard win league MVP honors.
As it turned out, Westbrook was just getting started.
The UCLA product averaged a triple-double again in 2018, 2019 and 2021. But individual success aside, Westbrook’s teams made deep runs in the NBA postseason, including in 2012 when he made the NBA Finals with the Thunder.
Recognized for his unparalleled explosiveness and aggression, Westbrook has been one of the NBA’s biggest stars since he debuted in 2008. His career accolades include nine All-Star appearances, nine All-NBA selections, and two scoring titles. In addition, he was selected as a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team as one of the top 75 players in NBA history.
