At 16, Sarr debuted for the French junior national team and helped lead France to victory at the FIBA U16 European Challengers. He followed that success by earning a bronze medal at the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup and a silver medal at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup.

Selected second overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2024 NBA Draft, Sarr brought an exciting combination of length, agility, and versatility to a young team in need of interior presence and defensive stability.
