the first, a gold-mounted tortoiseshell and micromosaic snuff box, 1820, circular with waisted sides, the lid set with a micromosaic plaque with a view of Tivoli against a cloudy sky, within stamped gold border and locket frame, 8 cm., 3 1/8 diam.,

the second, a silver-mounted tortoiseshell and micromosaic snuff box, circa 1830, rectangular with waisted sides, the lid set with a micromosaic plaque representing the Temple of Vesta at Tivoli, in a silver frame, silver-gilt hinges, apparently unmarked, 8.4 cm., 3 ¼ in. wide
