rectangular, the lid inset with a cut-cornered laque burgauté representing two 'chinoiserie' figures on a shimmering bridge next to a gnarly tree, a small rockery and a pagoda, scattered fan-shaped and other flowers in the background, on a black lacquer ground with fine silver rims, the gold interior engraved with 'Scrapper' and 'her cigarettes' to the lid, small semi-circular laquer pushpiece, maker's mark, French post-1918 eagle's head mark, serial no. 16771 to left rim, further engraved: 'Cartier' and 'Made in France,
