rectangular, the lid centred with a clasp-like rose-cut diamond set rectangle within rose gold ornaments, repeated as borders along both sides, on a black lacquer ground, small rose-cut diamond-set push piece, the interior fitted with a mirror, two hinged powder and rouge compartments and a lipstick holder,
the rim of the left inner lid signed 'Ghiso', further engraved 'Made in France', maker's mark, serial no. 2043, French boar's head standard mark for silver, further oval vermeil mark, struck 18K, in a leather presentation case stamped for: Casa Escasany, Joyeria y Relojeria, Buenos Aires,
