A red lacquered toilette set is depicted in the painting by Pietro Longhi La dama dal parrucchiere at Ca’ Rezzonico in Venice (illustrated in Clara Santini, Le Lacche dei Veneziani, Modena, 2003, p.107, fig. 34).
