modelled by Giuseppe Gricci, each with a seated putto holding a cornucopia forming the sconce and applied with fruiting vine, the rockwork base applied with vine branches, leaves and grapes, fleur de lys marks in underglaze-blue

A pair of polychrome enamelled putto candlesticks of this form in the Capodimonte Museum, Naples (inv. no. 1367-1368), is illustrated by A. Caròla-Perrotti, Le Porcellane dei Borbone di Napoli, Capodimonte e Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, 1743-1806, exhibition catalogue, Naples 1986, p. 266, no. 204, where a white pair are noted, in the Ariana Museum, Zurich.
