the second by Auguste Peyroula, Paris, with a rose-cut diamond-framed sliding clasp decorated with a carved emerald and ruby flower, the silver-gilt interior fitted with a lipstick holder flanked by two powder compartments, maker's mark, oval French vermeil mark, French boar's head standard mark, stamped with serial no. 2530, 8cm., 3 1/8 in. wide
