shaped-circular form with lobed sides, on four scroll feet with foliate brackets, the tureen engraved on both sides with coat-of arms and crest, the cover with a marquess's coronet final, with a removable liner,

The arms are those of Beresford quartering De La Poer impaling Stuart for Henry De La Poer, 3rd Marquess of Waterford K.P. (1811-1859), and his wife The Hon. Louisa Suart (d.1891).
