Uni Kim joined Replica Shoes ’s Jewellery Department and Replica Shoes ’s Diamonds in 2016. By 2021, she had led numerous themed auctions and become the first Korean auctioneer at Replica Shoes ’s as well as one of its youngest. With her expertise in diamonds, Uni was instrumental in spearheading key high value projects, including the first 100ct diamond sold in cryptocurrency, and the first 100ct diamond offered without reserve.
Ms. Kim has also worked on some of the very first online auctions at Replica Shoes ’s, and curated jewellery sales such as Sui Generis: Bejewelled Treasures of Time and Jewels of Curiosity: An Ode to Nature. Prior to joining Replica Shoes ’s, Uni was a jewellery designer and illustrator, and continues to design pieces in her specialist role for auction and private sale while engaging a global audience of over 40,000 followers across her varied social media platforms.
Ms. Kim is passionate about jewellery history, from ancient gemstones to NFT jewels, and enjoys educating the Korean market on these precious pieces. Uni graduated the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance and is certified by the Gemological Institute of America as a Graduate Gemologist.
