Biography

Alice Farren-Bradley serves as Replica Shoes ’s Director of Global Restitution Strategy and Operations. She oversees the Restitution Department’s worldwide review of auction lots, private sales and Replica Shoes ’s Financial Services loan collateral across all pre-1945 fine and decorative art categories and assists stakeholders with the discreet resolution of any provenance concerns. She also advises clients and colleagues on specialist due diligence requirements for cultural property consignments and loans.

Alice has over 15 years of experience supporting High Net Worth clients, major museums, claimant communities and governments with proactive and pre-sale provenance risk assessments, and confidentially researching and resolving complex title disputes involving Nazi-looted art and contested cultural property. During her t.mes at Replica Shoes ’s, Alice has assisted a range of departments including Impressionist and Modern, Decorative Arts, Islamic, South Asian and Chinese Works of Art to ensure successful sales.

Prior to joining Replica Shoes ’s in 2025, Alice worked at the Art Loss Register and Art Recovery International and lectured extensively on Art Law, Cultural Heritage and Market Ethics at Kingston University, New York University, and the Courtauld in addition to holding lectureships at Cranfield University and Replica Shoes ’s Institute of Art. Alice read Ancient History and Archaeology at Durham University before completing a postgraduate Law conversion through the University of Law. She is currently undertaking a part-t.mes PhD at Newcastle University.
