Description

one pair inscribed with labels 'Ag:di Endiui' or 'Ag:di Viole' respectively, painted with large sprays of flowers, the winged figural handles supported by applied shields reserving monograms 'PA', with green 'marbled' bands at the feet; the other pair, of the same form, with labels, 'ACQ.D.'ISOPO' or 'ACQ.PIANTANE', within flower strap borders, painted with smaller sprays of flowers, the handles supported by a shield reserving monograms 'GL'

A wet drug jar, very close to present pair inscribed with labels at the necks, inscribed 'Ag:di Rose', is in the collection of the Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro Fondazione at the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, Urbino; another, attributed to Casali e Callegari, is illustrated by G. Biscontini Ugolini, Ceramiche Pesaresi dal XVIII al XX secolo, Bologna, 1986, pl. 76.
