the lid surmounted with a pinecone finial and adorned to the bottom with a beaded frieze, the neck mounted with frieze pierced mount, the ovoid body flanked on either side by a handle in the shape of a mask headed by a crescent, possibly Selene, the Titan goddess of the moon, on a waisted spreading and stepped socle with acanthus leaves and a further beaded frieze
