circular, the lid formed of a micromosaic plaque representing a dog with its head turned to its left, seated on a grassy patch against a dark blue background, within tesserae border, later mounted in polished gold, the tortoiseshell base with gold footrim, illegible set of marks struck twice to mounts, including the discharge mark for Henri Clavel (1782-1789),
