This whiskey was distilled in 1982. The front label on the bottle states 'matured in virgin American oak for more than 18 years'. The information in the press releases from the t.mes varies, but generally concludes that the bourbon was removed from the barrel 'at its peak' to avoid 'over-ageing'. Based on this information, we have listed this bottle an 18 Year Old. It's likely the whiskey was removed after this and then tanked, until bottling in 2018.
