The Reference 2415, first produced in 1946, recognizable by its fancy sculpted lugs, mirrors the architecture from this period when Mid-Century Modern was beginning to emerge in the Post-War era. Production of Ref. 2415.
The iconic case is stamped with the Geneva Key no. 29, indicating manufacture by the famed casemaker Weber & Cie., which was a prominent firm that not only created elaborate cases for leading watchmaking firms such as Rolex, IWC, and Patek Philippe, but also created parures of jewelry and watches.
A similar example with identical dial layout is illustrated in Huber, M. & Banbery, A., Patek Philippe, Vol. II, Second Edition, p. 135.
