rectangular with cut corners, all slides decorated with squares of polished hardstone specimens, including agates, blood stone, dalmatian jasper, porphyry, carnelian, lapis lazuli etc., gold-lined interior, maker’s mark, Vienna town mark, date letter, in a fitted velvet-lined leather presentation case, the interior of the case with a later handwritten presentation note dated 1847,
