Description

the first, a silver-mounted mother-of-pearl snuff box, Paris, 1747/48, rectangular, all sides engraved with flowers, reeded silver mounts and wavy thumbpiece, charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel, Paris date letter G, 8 cm., 3 ⅛ in wide;

the second, a silver-mounted hardstone snuffbox, possibly German, 19th century, cartouche-shaped stepped lid and tapering sides, the agate body with mossy inclusions in brown and orange hues, the silver mounts with a wavy thumbpiece, apparently unmarked, 7.4 cm. 2 ⅞ in. wide
