the glass body cut with a diamond pattern, the neck encircled by cast silver fruiting grapevines, leading to the figural handle in the form of an Alkonost, the hinged lid with stylised acanthus leaves, surmounted by a recumbent griffin, its wings curled around a flower, gilt interior, struck to inside lid and fruiting vine with maker's mark, retailer's mark, 88 standard

Overall good condition. A few small losses to extremities of the facets and light surface scratches. The hinged cover does not close flush and slightly loose. One of the griffin's wings slightly bent. The top section of the fruting vine with a small split making it slightly loose.
