Distilled in Spring 1957, bottled in Spring 1968 at Stitzel-Weller Distillery, ullage: top shoulder, capsule very slightly worn, original presentation case worn and includes two Old Fitzgerald shot glasses

Distilled in the Spring of 1958 and bottled in the Spring of 1968, this bottle represents the pinnacle of the Van Winkle era at Stitzel-Weller. It is everything that the company’s president, Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle, wanted out of a bourbon: a wheated mashbill, 100 proof, and a decade in age. Unfortunately, Van Winkle would never would have seen this particular bottle – he retired in 1964 and died in 1965.
