A Pair of Egyptian Blue-painted Terracotta Jars

18th Dynasty, reign of Amenhotep III, 1390-1353 B.C.


each with tapering ovoid body and gently flaring neck, the shoulder painted with red and blue petals outlined in black, the body with a band of tapering blue petals interspersed with red stamens, double bands of blue outlined in black above and below.

Heights 28 and 28.3 cm.
