An English gilt and black japanned satinwood cabinet-on-stand, circa 1920-30, attributed to S. Hille & Co


with chinoiserie decoration, the pediment in the form of a stylised pagoda with a pierced fret frieze above two glazed doors and glazed side panels, the interior lined with black and gold fabric by The Gainsborough Silk Weaving Co. Ltd. and fitted with two removable glass shelves, the stand with a short frieze drawer on legs joined by a shaped X-stretcher
