A reprint of the 1512 Aldine edition, but with Guarini's epitome of Chrysoloras included for the first time.


8vo (155 x 90 mm). Greek type, 27 lines plus pagination. collation: a-s8 t4 v-z8 A-C8 D4: 208 leaves (u8 blank). Woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso. (Without blank leaf u8, final leaf slightly damaged and repaired).


binding: Eighteenth-century marbled calf gilt (160 x 103 mm), flat spine gilt with navy morocco lettering-piece, gilt edges. (Extremities slightly rubbed, lacking one lettering-piece.)
