Lucretia

The present model exists in a bronze version at the Metropolitan Museum, New York (inv. no. 10.141.3), there catalogued as Italian, possibly Florence, second half 16th century. This accomplished adaptation in wood is reminiscent of the work of German sculptors active in the first half of the 17th century, such as Leonhard Kern (1588-1662) and Georg Petel (1601-1635).
