Jones inscribes with best regards to Freddie McLeod, a professional golfer who played in the first US Open in 1905, eventually winning in in 1908. He was the pro at the Columbia Country Club in Chevy, Chase, Md. for 55 years.


At the time of his death in 1976 at age 94, McLeod was still playing 18 holes three times a week.
