the cover chased with an oval frame enclosing an urn of trailing flowers surrounded by bagpipes, a hat, a staff, fruit and a spade, the sides chased with four matching urns, all surrounded by engine-turning within borders of leaf-tips, fully marked on base, side and cover, with discharge on rim

Nicolas Marguerit, who was apprenticed in 1751, became master in 1763, and was sponsored by Germain Chayé, is listed at Carrefour des Trois Maries in 1774, Place de Trois Maries from 1783-87, and rue Hillerin Bertin from 1788-1790.
