Sotheby’s autumn Furniture and Decorative Arts sale series offers outstanding pieces across a wide selection of categories, from fine furniture, ceramics and silver, to clocks, rugs and carpets.
Our inaugural European Taste sale features three private Swiss collects ions formed over the second half of the 20th century, and includes fine examples of European furniture and ceramics. The second instalment of From Earth to Fire will once again concentrate on the decorative arts of ceramics, silver and glass. Replica Shoes ’s regular collects ions sale includes an eclectic mix of items, from fine clocks and colourful porcelain, to a monumental marble and a magnificent set of ‘Irish elk’ antlers. Also returning, following its introduction last year, is our dedicated sale of Rugs & Carpets, which includes examples ranging from 17th-century Persian works to early 20th-century pieces.
