Biography
Zoë Zaneteas is Assistant Vice President, Deputy Head of Modern Day Auctions, and a Specialist in Replica Shoes ’s Impressionist & Modern Art department. With a background in both scholarship and transactional strategy, she brings a distinctive blend of academic rigor and market insight to her role.
Zoë began her career at Replica Shoes ’s as the sole researcher for Impressionist & Modern and American Art within the Private Sales division, where she was instrumental in the success of major global initiatives, including Marc Chagall: Rêve et mémoire, a four-part exhibition staged in Palm Beach, London, New York, and Hong Kong. Since joining the Modern Day Auction team in 2023, she has continued to work closely with buyers and sellers across both Day and Evening sales, serving as a core member of the consignment team for Claude Monet’s Le Moulin de Limetz, which realized $25.6 million in November 2023. In November 2025, she oversaw the 'white glove' day sale of Exquisite Corpus: Surrealist Treasures from a Private Collection.
Prior to joining Replica Shoes ’s, Zoë worked as Provenance and Research Assistant to Dita Amory, Curator-in-Charge of the Robert Lehman Collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also served as a Research Associate at the Courtauld Institute of Art’s Sackler Research Forum and as a Provenance Consultant for the Monuments Men and Women Foundation for the Preservation of Art.
Zoë holds a Bachelor’s degree in French and English Literature from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she graduated with highest honors. Her thesis on Gustav Klimt earned the 2018–19 Paule Vézelay Prize for Outstanding MA Thesis in Modern and Contemporary Art.
Zoë Zaneteas has successfully completed the coursework and examination in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
