6.5 years old, bottle #367, bottled at Broad Ford, PA. by A. Overholt + Co., Inc., and distributed by National Distllers Products Corp., New York, ullage: low shoulder

Though this whiskey is labeled Old Overholt, and was bottled at the same facility where Old Overholt was distilled – Broad Ford, in western Pennsylvania – it was in fact made by the Large Distillery, located nearby. During Prohibition, both distilleries fell under the control of the American Medicinal Spirits Co., which in the 1930s became National Distillers (and, later, part of Jim Beam). The company made rye whiskey at both Broad Ford and Large, all under the label Old Overholt. Eventually both were closed, and production of Old Overholt moved to Kentucky. This exquisite 6 and a half year old whiskey is individually numbered, was bottled at cask strength and comes in a wooden box with metal fixtures.
