Property Formerly in the André Morgues Collection
A Roman Marble Torso of the Young Dionysos
circa 2nd Century A.D.
standing with the weight on his right leg and the left one slightly raised, and wearing a himation draped over his left shoulder and legs, long locks of hair falling over the shoulders; left knee,part of right breast and some drapery folds restored, head, arms, and lower legs once restored.
Height 45.8 cm.
European private collection, circa 17th Century (based on restoration techniques)
