A spotted bamboo and lacquer leaf-shaped tea tray, Qing dynasty, 18th century 清十八世紀 香妃竹黑漆芭蕉葉形茶盤

Naturalistically shaped into a furled plantain leaf, the present tray is a beautiful addition to the tea table. The natural spotting of the bamboo contrasts attractively with the black lacquer details, creating a strong aesthetic appeal to the piece.
