one unframed: 26.8 x 35.5 cm.; 10½ x 14 in.

framed: 39.5 x 48.1 cm.; 15½ x 19 in.

the other unframed: 26.9 x 35.3 cm.; 10⅝ x 13⅞ in.

framed: 39.7 x 48 cm.; 15⅝ x 18⅞ in.

Don Carlo Giovene, 9th Duke of Girasole (1868–1933), Naples (according to a label on the reverse);

Thence by descent.

In their compositional design and facial types, these paintings compare closely with two pictures by Keil, both of which can be dated to the mid-1650s.1
