the first, cut cornered rectangular, the lid centred with an oval micromosaic plaque representing the Doves of Pliny, Filippo Puglieschi, Rome, early 19th century,

the second, a gold-mounted porphyry snuff box, probably Italian, late 18th century, circular, reeded gold mounts, apparently unmarked, 6.1 cm., 2 ⅜ in. diameter;

the third, a porphyry and silver mounted snuffbox, Italian, 19th century,

rectangular, silver rims and shell decoration to corners, apparently unmarked, 8.1 cm., 3 ⅛ in. wide
