both circular, the first a turned example with slightly waisted sides, the lid decorated with boldly chased gold rocailles, shells and foliage, scalloped metal mounts, apparently unmarked,

the second, of similar date, the hinged tortoiseshell lid and fluted waisted sides decorated with chased silver foliage, rocailles or flowers around inlaid mother-of-pearl birds, apparently unmarked,
6 cm., 2 ⅜ in. diameter
