of bombé oval form raised on scroll supports headed by cartouches enclosing facing jester heads, applied on both sides with rococo cartouches engraved with arms, foliate scroll handles rising from scalework and shell cartouches, domed cover chased with flowers and cartouches and engraved with crests, the artichoke finial rising from spreading leaves, marked on base and rim of cover
