the body chased with with putti representing cultivation, abundance, and death, surrounded by scroll-work and foliage, caryatid handle with bird-claw bracket, infant Bacchus thumbpiece and a female Indian figure finial, the inside of the lid set with plaque engraved with two coats-of-arms and the monograms WDZD * ADZD, the base engraved with scratch-weights in Cyrillic, apparently unmarked
