Persian manuscript on paper, 52 leaves plus 6 fly-leaves, 11 lines to the page, written in nasta'liq script in black ink, the text arranged in two columns with gold and black intercolumnar rules, the opening page with an illuminated headpiece and titles in white script, further headings in white and gold script on illuminated panels, text within gold and blue rules, catchwords, in gilt lacquer binding, with gilt and stamped brown morocco doublures

The scribe of this manuscript may be the same scribe as 'Abdullah ibn Murshid al-Din Shiraz who worked on another copy of Amir Shah's Diwan, now in the National Library in Tehran. He was a private scribe for the Safavid sultan, Shah Tahmasp and died in Qazvin in 1574-75 AD (Mehdi Bayani, ahval va asar-e khosh-nevisan, vol.2, Tehran, 1346 sh., pp.356-7).
