Jo Malone Zara Dupes Perfumes Like Wood, Sage and Sea Salt More
It was created by Jo Malone herself.
Does Zara have any perfumes that smell kind of like Jo Malone ones, but for cheaper? Zara is known for its incredible perfumes, which are often compared to designer fragrances so which perfume from the high street store smells like Jo Malone, I hear you ask?
If you’re a fan of the perfumer’s bestselling scents, you’ll be glad to know that Zara has a similar smell to her Wood Sage Sea Salt perfume and I’m sharing all the details here.
Zara has also worked with the perfumer to create two collections of fragrances, Zara Emotions and Vibrant Cities. And while Jo Malone’s perfumes cost over £50, her collections for Zara are over half the price.
The original Jo Malone perfume offers a refreshing blend of sea salt and sage that I personally adore, but if you’re looking for affordable options, Zara’s fragrances are worth a closer look. Which Zara Perfume is a dupe for Jo Malone?
If you love Jo malone’s Wood Sage Sea Salt cologne, you should try Zara’s Ebony Wood. The two perfumes offer similar scents but with very different price points. Zara’s Ebony Wood evokes warmth and coziness with its inviting ebony wood notes, while Jo Malone’s Wood Sage Sea Salt offers a refreshing coastal escape, blending sage and sea salt for a revitalising, beachy vibe.
As well as Ebony Wood, Zara’s perfume collection has plenty more gems that channel Jo Malone. Take, for instance, Amalfi Sunray. Its citrusy burst is a nod to Jo Malone’s Lime Basil Mandarin. Another favourite is Vetiver Pamplemousse, similar to Jo Malone’s Grapefruit Cologne.
These Zara perfumes are not total copies; they are affordable interpretations of luxury scents, but if you’re looking for an accessible scent, they’re well worth trying.

Jo Malone’s Wood Sage Sea Salt Cologne was created by perfumer Christine Nagel in 2014 and remains one of the brand’s most popular perfumes. Not only does the scent come as an Eau de Parfum, but you can also buy the Wood Sage Sea Salt body and hand wash, body creme and candle from the brand.

Wood Sage Sea Salt Cologne brings the coast to you. It blends sage’s earthiness with the freshness of sea salt, like a day at the beach. It’s ideal to wear in the day time, particularly in winter thanks to the sage smell. It has a top note of Ambrette Seeds, a heart note of Sea Salt and a Base Note of sage, as the name suggests.
The Dupe: Zara Ebony Wood

Ebony Wood Eau De Parfum, £25.99, Zara buy now
Ebony Wood was created by Jo Malone as part of her Zara Emotions collection, so its similarity to her iconic fragrances makes perfect sense. Ebony Wood costs a little more than the brand’s regular collection, but it’s well worth it for such a warm and spicy scent.
Scent
Ebony Wood has notes of Pink Pepper, Clove and Ebony Wood, so while the two smells are similar, they’re not identical. This perfume is spicy and warm, making it perfect for winter.
Is buying Zara Ebony Wood worth it?
Is Ebony Wood worth the hype? Absolutely. It’s one of my personal favourites from Zara’s collection and was created by Jo Malone herself. Its rich, woody essence offers depth and warmth, making it a go-to for those cooler months.
Its affordability makes it even more appealing. Ebony Wood proves that luxury scents don’t always have to come with a luxury price tag. It’s a smart, chic choice for anyone wanting to dabble in high-end fragrances without the splurge.
Other Jo Malone Zara Dupe
Interestingly, Jo Malone, the founder of the brand, actually created the Zara Emotions Collection which includes Fleur D’Oranger! So, she used her expertise in crafting the original fragrance to create a similar (but likely more simplified) version for Zara.
