拍品資料及來源

The painters of marit.mes subjects in Dutch Delftware would use contemporary prints and engravings as their source, such as those produced by engraver Adolf van der Laan (1690-1745). As is somet.mes s the case in maiolica painting, elements from several print sources were often combined, making identification of vessels difficult. For further plaques and wares decorated with this theme see Robert D. Aronson and Birte Abraham, In the Eye of the Beholder, Perspectives on Dutch Delftware, Amsterdam, 2011, pp. 72-81, nos. 40-44.
