Dresses are a tried and true wedding guest outfit, but if you want an alternative?

I’m all for thinking outside of the box when it comes to occasionwear. While dresses are pretty much foolproof when it comes to wedding guest dressing, two pieces and jumpsuits are just as good if not better.

Why, I hear you ask? Well firstly, you don’t have to worry quite as much about arriving to a wedding and discovering another guest in the same outfit as you. It’s possible of course, but much less likely.

Wearing trousers and shorts also quashes the likelihood of flashing on the dancefloor (or when the wind blows, which is always a possibility in Britain), and vitally if you want to let loose later on in the evening, they let you move a whole lot more.

Mostly though I just think opting for any outfit that isn’t a dress makes for a much more impactful wedding guest look.

If you still want to wear a skirt, there are plenty of options for that as well as trouser and short suits, co-ords and chic jumpsuits too.
