When it comes to shoes, it’s safe to say Zara knows what they’re doing. Every season, the brand drops a new collection of footwear that’s even better than the last. Zara is backing a number of new shoe trends for 2024 from ballet flats to metallics that I can’t get enough of, so I’m sharing my top picks right here.

Shoes are one of the most important pieces in any person’s wardrobe. Why? Because shoes have the ability to make or break any outfit, and while I’d love to find pairs that last forever, they often need updating. Unlike most items in our wardrobe if looked after carefully, footwear has a tendency to fall apart no matter how much you paid for it.

I’m not condoning buying shoes aimlessly. As always, I recommend choosing styles that you’re going to get a lot of wear out of. Not only is this attitude so much better for the planet, but it will stop you from spending money unnecessarily. When shopping for shoes, it’s an easy mistake to make.

For a long time I bought beautiful shoes that remained firmly in my wardrobe, so I learnt to ask myself a few questions. Are they comfortable? Do I have at least 5 outfits they go with? Will they still be stylish in a year? If you do the same, you’ll find yourself making much better shopping decisions.
