Best Platform Wedge Sandals 2023

Welcome to my edit of the best wedge sandals of 2023, with options from Prada, Alaia, ASOS, ALDO, Zara, H&M and more.

I’ve never been a huge fan of wedges. I don’t what it is about them, but I’ve always known they’re just not my thing…that is until now.

Gone are the busy straps, making way for modern additions like perspex details, colourful leathers, caged straps and unique wedge heels.

You just have to take one look at the SS23 runways to see what I mean; Alaia’s sculptural heeled-wedges, as worn by Bella Hadid, are the ultimate statement shoe, and I’m still not over Prada’s slingback wedge pumps.

Bottega Veneta and Amina Muaddi’s wedge mules similarly offer the height and comfort of regular wedges, but look so, so sleek.

Regular wedges with cork and straps that tie up around the leg are of course a timeless fashion staple, but if you’re after a more fashion forward look, you’re going to love these.
