Gucci's Rubber Sandals Are The Shoes Of Summer 2021: Here's How To Wear Them

Whether or not you subscribe to designer footwear, there’s no denying that Gucci know how to make beautiful shoes. The designer has released yet another must-have shoe, this time in the form of a rubber slide sandal with the brand’s logo emblazoned on the front.

As our obsession for all things pastel seems to be growing by the day, so too has our love for Gucci’s rubber mules. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that we can barely login to Instagram without seeing a pair staring back at us.

The fashion house released the range of plastic sandals last summer, but it’s clear that they’re going no where fast. Since the sun has started shining, we’ve started to see them on the feet of all of the social media apps most stylish women including British influencers Sara Waiste, Zeena Shah and Scandi-style queen Babette Van Luijk.

They come in a small selection of ice cream shades, including pretty pink, cream and baby blue (the latter is only available in-store), while the label recently introduced a simple black and vibrant red pair. They also have a transparent selection in similar shades and even a glow-in-the-dark pair.

While most Gucci shoes would set you back over £500, this pair is slightly more affordable at £265 and presumably much easier to look after too.

For big spenders, Gucci has also recently launched some good-enough-to-eat dad sandals in similar shades of pink, lilac and black for SS21. We didn’t think the mules could be topped, but there’s something about these slides we can’t stop thinking about. We’re expecting to see them all over our feeds very soon.
