Tank tops are everywhere this year, and the trend is only set to continue.
When I go shopping, the last thing I look for is basics. I don’t know about everyone else, but I can only speak for myself when I say that I browse exclusively for prints, colours and patterns.

I’ve learnt the hard way that this doesn’t always lead to the most practical wardrobe. One thing I later discovered I was missing was decent tops to layer under my shirts and to wear with jeans, shorts and skirts.
The missing piece I’ve recently realised to be the most vital? The tank top.
It sounds basic, right? We probably all own one somewhere. But this humble sleeveless top is fast becoming the biggest trend of the year.
It was the hero piece on Prada’s AW22 runway, as modelled by the glorious Kaia Gerber [above) and has since been dubbed one of the new season’s most wearable trends.
