Split Hem Trousers Are Everywhere Here are 8 Pairs We Love
No, you’re not imagining it.
No, you’re not imagining it. Split hem trousers are definitely having a moment.
They were first seen at Victoria Beckham’s SS20 runway show, before influencers, Editors and celebrities like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley followed suit.

Now the high street are next to champion the split hem leggings, with brands like Mango, Zara, COS and Other Stories offering up iterations of the 90s-inspired trousers.
It’s safe to say they’re not going anywhere fast, so if you’ve been wondering when is the right time to jump on board, this is your sign.
Now that I’ve been reassessing my wardrobe for the season, I’ve been thinking a lot about introducing more structured and streamlined pieces.
There’s nothing wrong with going for the classics, of course. But seeing as we’ve been deprived of so many opportunities to dress up in the past year, I think it’s time to try something with a bit more flair.
If you’re in the same boat, I think you’ll like split hem trousers. As their name suggests, the pants’ hems are split and they make your legs look ultra long when teamed with pointed boots.
There are different variations to the style too — some trousers have the slit on the inner side of the trousers while others have the slit in front.
They can be styled casually too. Rosie Huntington-Whitely wore hers with sneakers and a black coat.
Queen Letizia of Spain is also a fan of the look. She was spotted wearing a red pantsuit with the trousers notably sporting a split.
If you’re ready to wear the look too, you’ll be glad to know that you won’t have problems looking for a nice pair.
From Uterque to Other Stories, there are plenty of split hem trousers to get you started.
Here are some pairs that are on my wishlist.
