The Scandi Brands to Have on Your Radar
I’m already inspired.
When it comes to style, no one does it like the Scandinavians.
The region, which makes up Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and sometimes Finland and Iceland too, is famous for clean lines and its minimalist approach to fashion.

Of course there are so many different cultures, styles and influences at play when we talk about Scandi style, but in an interview with Vogue, Christina Exsteen, creative director at Denmark fashion house By Malene Birger, attempted to define it.
โI think itโs very laid-back but at the same time sophisticated,โ she said. โItโs uncomplicated and easy to wear. Scandinavians are very good at lending their own twist to their look, like with layers.
She also identified the key differences between the style of each country in the region, adding, โIf you ask a Swede, a Dane and a Norwegian, we would all say that weโre not the same.
โI think the Danish are more playful in putting our looks together; the Swedes are really good at minimalism; and the Norwegians are a little more glamorous and like more embellishment. The differences are subtle, but they are there.โ
Itโs not easy to replicate the look, but there are some key brands that can help you create your own Scandi-inspired wardrobe โ and Iโm not just talking about GANNI (although I do love it).
While itโs one of the best-known fashion labels from the region, thereโs plenty more where that came from, including STAND STUDIO, Rodebjer and Baum und Pferdgarten.
Many of these have a focus on sustainability as well as individuality and quality, so you can rest easy knowing youโre in good hands.
Bookmark these brands for your next wardrobe spruce and you wonโt look back.
