After seasons of being at the forefront of our winter wardrobes, the cosiest outerwear on the market is back once again this winter. We’re talking about puffer jackets, of course.

Autumn is getting ready to pounce, bringing with it cooler weather and a chance to dig out our favourite autumn pieces again.

I’m already looking forward to layering up, throwing on cosy knits and investing in winter boots (you can see which styles will be trending here).

Whether you’re a winter or summer baby, there’s no denying that outerwear is one of the cold season’s biggest fashion joys.

I have an embarrassingly large selection of winter coats to wrap up in, but every year I find more to love.

It’s a good time to get ahead of the curve and start scouting out winter jackets and coats for 2021. Plenty of options have started dropping, but one piece I’m definitely investing in this year is a puffer jacket.

As well as the trusty puffer appearing at Prada, Givenchy, Marni, Balenciaga, Chanel and Louis Vuitton, Kanye West’s Yeezy Gap puffer jacket has also created a buzz for the season ahead and the high street is rife with options now too.

If you’re leaning more towards a classic black, reliable, wear-with-anything style, you can’t go wrong with The North Face’s cropped quilted down jacket.

If you love bright colours, NA-KD and Weekday have some bolder options, while Monki and Urban Outfitters are embracing neutral hues this winter.
