Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have noticed a new trend emerging. Anything and everything is being covered in crystals right now (or if you’re Doja Cat, you’re covering your entire body in them).

Diamante bags truly pack a glamorous punch. The crystal-adorned accessory gives major disco-ball energy, but somehow manages to look chic.

Last year ,celebrities and designer brands welcomed the diamante bag trend with open arms, from Dua Lipa’s Eera moon bag to Beyonce’s embellished Jimmy Choo bag.

The popularity of diamante bags can of course be attributed to the success of the crystal-embellished Prada Cleo handbag. The luxury brand’s release of a more sparkly design of its classic handbag was met with great success.

The trend of crystal bags continues to be popular, with embellished everything being pegged as one of the year’s biggest trends. Prada has a crystal-covered bag in almost every shape in their latest collection.

Of course, not everyone is into the whole diamante bag trend, especially if you lean more into practicality than style. Having a bag with so many beads can spell trouble—from crystals falling off to your bag snagging on your clothes.
