When you think of summer style, what comes to mind? For me, the basket bag is as synonymous with warm weather as a sun dress. With their natural woven materials, these bags perfectly exude the breezy summer vibes—think sunshine, beach vacations, and carefree days. So if you’re thinking of updating your summer wardrobe, adding a basket bag is essential. To help you find the perfect one, I’ve listed down all the hottest basket bags in the market.

Loewe’s basket bag has become a cult item in recent years, granted but these have been around for as long as I can remember. Remember the iconic Hermès Birkin bag? If only actress Jane Birkin haven’t accidentally met then Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas in 1984 when she complained about the practicality of her oversized straw basket that was tipped over on a plane, there’s a slight chance we’ll be seeing basket bags becoming a bonafide summer staple.

Although they may have been made for the beach, fashion girls are wearing them everywhere in 2024. In fact, they’re still coming in hot this year, especially in summer and spring.
